Board Assistant – CEO & Governance Support

(36 hours, based in The Hague)

The Board Support team plays a key role in ensuring smooth decision-making processes, strong governance practices and effective coordination between the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board. The Board Assistant – CEO & Governance Support focuses on supporting the CEO and the Supervisory Board and acts as the central coordinator for governance processes.

Key responsibilities

Governance & Supervisory Board

  • Organise and coordinate Supervisory Board meetings and committee meetings.
  • Prepare agendas, board documentation and resolutions.
  • Take minutes and ensure follow-up of board decisions and action points.
  • Maintain the annual governance calendar.
  • Maintain governance documentation, board regulations and official registers.
  • Monitor compliance with governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as liaison between Supervisory Board and Board of Directors.

CEO Support

  • Manage the CEO’s agenda and priorities.
  • Support CEO communication with the Supervisory Board.
  • Prepare correspondence and governance documentation.
  • Provide strategic administrative support in decision-making processes.

Who you are 

  • Higher professional education (HBO) level, preferably in public administration, management support or business administration. 
  • At least several years of experience in a similar role at management/executive level. 
  • Strong organisational, written and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent command of English and preferably also Dutch (French is an asset). 
  • Discretion, proactivity and excellent social skills. 
  • Affinity with decision-making processes, policy development and management information. 
  • Experience with digital documentation and archiving systems is an advantage.
