Institutional Donor Intelligence Analyst

(36 hours, based in The Hague)

In this role you will be part of the Institutional Funding and Donor Relations department, the heart of all Cordaid’s institutional funding efforts. The department, together with the country offices, is tasked by realising Cordaid’s income ambitions through high quality bid management and relationship management that leads to warm opportunities for Cordaid.  

What you do

As an Institutional Donor Intelligence Analyst, you will help our organisation grow its funding from large international donors (like the EU, UN, and governments). Your job is to turn research and data into useful information that helps our teams find new opportunities, plan smarter, and build stronger relationships with donors.

You’ll work closely with fundraising and programme teams across different countries to:

  • Spot trends in donor behaviour and funding.
  • Evaluate new donor opportunities.
  • Keep track of donor relationships and engagement activities.
  • Support teams with up-to-date information and smart tools.

 Your Main Tasks

  • Research donor trends: Do regular desk research to understand how donor priorities change, and what this means for Cordaid.
  • Find new opportunities: Collect and analyses information about potential new funding. Make recommendations to leadership.
  • Track donor accounts: Help teams stay informed by keeping donor profiles and plans up to date.
  • Support teams globally: Give advice and tools to country teams and colleagues who work directly with donors.
  • Share knowledge: Prepare summaries and presentations with relevant insights before key donor meetings.
  • Support proposals: Keep our key documents (like policies, registration, financial info) updated for proposals and meetings.
  • Coordinate global funding calls: When multiple teams want to apply for the same funding, help organise and support the internal process.
  • Keep systems updated: Ensure our donor database (CRM) is accurate and current, especially regarding funding pipelines and engagement

Who you are

  • A master’s degree in international development, business, or a related area.
  • Experience working with international donors (EU, UN, development banks, etc.).
  • Skilled at turning complex research into practical insights.
  • Great attention to detail and organisation skills.
  • Comfortable working with data, systems, and deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM systems (we use Microsoft Dynamics).

  • A gross monthly salary of € 3563, - up to € 5335, - based on a 36-hour week (excluding 8% vacation allowance and 8.3% end of year allowance), depending on years of relevant experience.
  • A position for 1 year with the possibility of extension, starting as soon as possible.
