In times of escalating political volatility, declining rule of law, and global power shifts, system strengthening in peace, security, and justice is more urgent than ever. Cordaid partners with civil society in fragile and conflict-affected settings to influence decision-making across international, regional, and national levels, mitigate risks in restrictive environments and support hard-fought stability.

Adequate security and justice systems are essential for stability, development, and community well-being. Together with its local partners, Cordaid advocates for a people-centred approach that integrates community solutions with government policies to enhance service delivery, promote justice, and ensure safety.

The new brochure, System Strengthening within Cordaid: Peace, Security & Justice, presents a comprehensive approach to reinforcing systems that uphold peace, security, and justice. The brochure outlines an integrated methodology, detailing the building blocks that shape effective, sustainable programmes. It also features case studies from Mali, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Burundi, each illustrating how tailored, context-specific strategies are applied on the ground.

Note: A French version of the brochure will be added soon.
