Our donors and network

We are very grateful for the support of both our institutional and private donors. They allow us to fulfil our mission.

Several institutional donors and international development agencies believe in our capacities and expertise. Among them are the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, Nationale Postcode Loterij, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the Global Fund, the World Bank, the Mastercard Foundation, UN Agencies, and the European Commission.

We also cherish our loyal base of more than 250,000 private donors from the Netherlands.

Quality management

We own a certificate from the Netherlands Fundraising Regulator (CBF), an independent organisation that oversees NGOs, with the aim of promoting responsible fundraising and expenditure.

Our quality management system meets the ISO standards and is certified by Partos, the membership body for Dutch organisations working in international development.

We have a partnership certificate from the Humanitarian Aid department of the European Commission (ECHO) and our risk management policy and framework respond to internationally required standards.

As a member of the Core Humanitarian Standard Alliance, Cordaid adheres to the Sphere standards, a set of principles and minimum standards in four technical areas of humanitarian response: water supply and hygiene, food security, shelter, and health.

We also follow the guidelines of the Inter-Agency Standing Committee for integrating gender-based violence interventions in humanitarian action.

In short, we set and maintain high performance standards for ourselves and our partners, to ensure the well-being and safety of everyone we work with and for.

Worldwide partner network

Around the globe, we seek and promote alliances of civil society organisations, as well as the public and private sectors. We work with local professionals and experts and use innovative digital and financial methods to increase our impact.

We are part of several networks: Caritas Internationalis, the ACT Alliance, CIDSE, CONCORD, Partners for Resilience and thematic networks such as ShareNet, the Civil Society Platform for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding, the European Peacebuilding Liaison Office, VOICE, and the CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness, among others.

Cordaid is also an active member of the Dutch Cooperating Aid Organisations and the Dutch Relief Alliance, and we work closely with other international NGOs.

These networks and collaborations enable us to work in fragile contexts and respond to acute crises worldwide.
